Well my toshiba satellite pro M10 is approaching its fourth year of service and I’m starting to wonder if I should sell it. As many of you know I am really satisfied with mac os and I would love to be able to run mac os on my new machine. So what should I get, well there is only one real answer: macbook
It’s not that my current notebook has gotten unreliably slow, of became defect (I can still get two hours out of its battery!). But, I have found that it has gotten a bit too big and clumsy for me. It’s a heavy 15″ machine and I’ve reached the maximum when it comes to hardware expansion, even on the software level I have discovered that my machine will not handle Windows Vista without becoming as fast as a slug. I like this machine and it has served me well over the years (unlike some other poor souls that bought a notebook from a shitty cheaply constructed brand). In fact, I kind of feel a bit sad at the thought of parting from it.
In fact I don’t even know if this machine will get a lot of value on the second hand market.

Good news everybody!
The macbooks have had a slight update on the hardware level and prices have dropped slightly, looks like I’ve got another plus on the macbook side when it comes to the new notebook decission. Glad they’ve finally made 1 GB standard, now make that the minimum for all your devices apple!
I’m also glad to report that my intern has learned quite a lot during the period that he’s been in my office. He was given the task to create a client relationship management software suite. The result is turning out to be quite nice, the only regret I have is that I didn’t have more time to check up on his source code. He ended up using some odd methods which could be done more performant. But the important thing is that he realises and acknowledges his mistakes. Afteral the purpose of the internship is to learn, heck I even learned a few things from him. I’m glad to report that he allready found a job.
I myself am currently looking for a long term 3D modelling project to keep myself sharp and learn a few techniques to improve my pittyful 3D skills.
